Shoot 3

Heads up on what shoot three is going to be all about - since I managed to find a great model , I wanted to use him for a more arty shoot, so I've decided to do my Topman LTD shoot. This is the more expensive range and is kinda smart/casual - it's nice stuff.
The theme behind this is going to be a mix of alpine and 1920s gent - I thought these two trends mixed together would create a nice overall trend for LTD.
As well as shooting images, I am going to be making a video to coincide with the collection and fit into my portfolio module - exciting.
Going to need hands to help me though.
Watch this space for more on LTD
Gotta dash to work now.

Shoot 2

Since I can't get one up her I may as well try and load up 2...
these are just my favourites - I haven't done the final edits yet so watch this space....
I've had some super feedback from tutors on this shoot - although I think their favourites are different from mine - but it's ok! I have seperated some that they've chosen to put inthe book - i think- so I'll pop those up too.

bugger

so my first shoot won't go on here - oh the joys of modern day technology - keep an eye though cos I'm going to try and get it up here.

On a lighter note I've been researching my portfolio module - i'm going to be using video as my media. Baically making Topman videos - I've had some idea, and done some experimenting - but until I can get myself a camera cable (and some money to buy one with) they won't be up here. However I'm starting to feel confident with this project - roll on photoshoot 3!

Shoots

My six shoots that are going to be the main features in my magazine are:
5 ways to wear - 5 ways to wear six different outfits, each outfit based on one of the six trends.
Ad campaign - An ad campaign which would run through the magazine, each outfit is one of the six trends.
Collages - Collages of each trend with a couple of outfits for each.
Top 10 - Top ten Topman outfits for A/W.
Inspired by - 6 outfits on mannequins that show inspiration for trends.
Topman Ltd - Topman Limited collection photoshoot.

Also - Street Style is going to be a continous thing that I'm going to be doing throughout my project and I'm thinking 6 main ones can go into my magazine - and I will also make a small book of street style.
Super

Trends A/W - part 2

I like to call this - Garage
Obviously based on the victorian runway theme, from there I thought of garage band - The Horrors and then looked further back at 1970s/80s garage band The Gruesomes. As it is quite a gothic theme - I dropped in the film Eraserhead - a distrubing film made by David Lynch. I also threw in some gothic art.
Glam - obvious influences from the runway, but also from super glam rock film - The Velvet Underground. As well as glam rock stars such as marc bolan and the new york dolls as well as mick jagger.
Iglu - drawn from the bright and colourful clothing of the runway. Also after having met the band - Iglu & Hartly- and taken their photographs, they are pretty cool characters and fashion wise they have some awesome outfits. Love it.
Los Alamos - 50s styling, with major influence from William Egglestons photography collections - especially Los Alamos. Musical influences from the 50s and film influence from late 80s film Cry Baby- based on Drapes and Squares, featuring Johnny Depp (grr)
Alpine- (board not finished) however based on winter knits from the runway, also photography by espen eichhofer. Freedom.

Trends A/W

Trend 1 - Faux Fur and skinny jeans defo means glam rock - love these looks from the runway - asif I can remember whos collections these are from .... however...
I'm pretty sure 2&3 are gucci - loving the leopard print.
Trend 2 - Brights, lots and lots of bright colours - super for autumn/winter. Once again don't remember all the designers - however numero one is Paul Smith - loove this collection.
Trend 3 - 1950s style has appeared throughout alot of the shows - a perfect trend love it. Once again another fabulous example from Paul Smith's show (image 2).
Trend 4 - Alpine - lots of lovely knits could only mean one thing - alpine.
Trend 5 - Victorian - love it! Once again this is a trend with alot of character! Also cant remember which shows these are from.
Trend 6 - I've described this as a 1920s gentleman look. I like the smart v casual look.

The Crack...

I'm creating a magazine for my FMP - (final major project)- based on Topman.
So I'm firstly looking at catwalk trends to see create - 6 autumn/winter trends for Topman.
